The Sleeping Giant is the northern most Blasket Island. The official name is Inishtooskert, which translates to northern island... accurate at least.
Dunmore Head is the western most part of mainland Ireland. Looking back from Dunmore Head you can see Slea Head, which lends it's name to the scenic drive around the peninsula.
