The Yellow Steeple is the ruins of St. Mary's Abbey's Bell Tower. The Abbey was built in either the 14th or 15th century.

Monks' fishing house on the River Cong. Built most likely in the 15th or 16th century. This river is the border between County Mayo and County Galway and flows into Lough Corrib, the second largest lake in Ireland.

Mussenden Temple from Downhill
Water pours off the cliffs above the beach, after a heavy rainstorm. Atop the cliff is the Mussenden Temple. It was built as a library in 1785 and modeled after the Temple of Vesta in Italy.
O'Brien's Tower
O'Brien's Tower is an observation tower overlooking the cliffs. Cornelius O'Brien built the tower in 1835, to impress the ladies.
